I work as a self-employed sole trader, operating from my home office, with low financial overheads. I do not personally sub-contract work out but do work as a sub-contractor to other home energy rating businesses. My aim is to provide a timely, quality service at a competitive price.
 
SAP calculations using NHER Plan Assessor software are broken down into 4 no. stages:-
 
1) Design Draft - working draft version calculation(s), to include DER / TER comparison for new build dwellings, and other checks required to demonstrate building regulations compliance
 
2) Design Final - final design version calculation for initial submission to Building Control Body. Outputs include a Predicted Energy Assessment (PEA).
 
3) As-Built Draft - working draft version calculation(s) based upon the dwelling as-built
 
4) As-Built Final - final calculation version upon which the On Construction Energy Performance Certificate (OCEPC) and other documentation required by the Building Control Body is produced

A. Up to 3 no dwellings (price each) ........................................................£100.00

(a) £75.00 payable at Design Final Stage (production of PEA)

(b) £25.00 payable at As Built Final stage (production of OCEPC)

 

B. More than 3 no. dwellings on the same development

 

                        Each unique master dwelling type.......................................£65.00

                        (a) £40.00 payable at Design Final stage (production of PEA)

                        (b) £25.00 payable at As-Built Final stage (production of OCEPC)

 

                        Duplicate dwellings based upon the master above........£45.00

                        (a) £20.00 payable at Design Final stage (production of PEA)

                        (b) £25.00 payable at As-Built Final stage (production of OCEPC)

 

For example, 10 occurrences of housetype A on the same development.

First house charged at ...............................1 x £65.00 =    £65.00

Remaining 9 no. houses charged at .........9 x £45.00 = £405.00

Total .................................................................................. .£470.00,

averaging £47.00 per dwelling.
